What a Week in Taghazout and Tamraght Costs

Real 2026 prices for food, taxis, surf lessons and places to stay, and three example weeks, from tight budget to a surf camp week.

"How much should I budget?" is one of the questions we get most. Below are real prices as of October 2026, and three example weeks. We use about 11 dirhams to the euro. Prices can change over time, so treat these as a guide, not a quote.

Three example weeks

These don't include flights.

On a tight budget: about 2,500 dirhams (around €230)

A hostel bed, breakfast and lunch from cafés and street stalls, cooking some dinners, a rented board most days, the bus or a shared taxi to get around. Very doable, and very fun.

Comfortable: about 6,000 to 8,000 dirhams (around €550 to €730)

A guesthouse room or an apartment you share, eating out twice a day, five surf lessons or a week of rental, a taxi from the airport and back, a hammam, and a day trip.

The surf camp week: about €450 to €850 (roughly 5,000 to 9,350 dirhams), plus extras

Most all-inclusive camps land in this range for a shared room: bed, most meals, lessons or guiding, gear, transport and often yoga. Budget another €50 to €100 (550 to 1,100 dirhams) for the dinners that aren't included, coffee, souvenirs and a massage. See how to choose a surf camp.

Where the money goes

  • Cash. Carry it. Many cafés, taxis and shops are cash only, and there are only a few cash machines in the villages. See money, cards and tipping.
  • The view costs extra. The same tagine is cheaper up on the main road than on a seafront terrace.
  • The resorts are a different world. A dinner at the hotels in Taghazout Bay can cost as much as a day or two in the village.
  • High season. Around Christmas, New Year and Easter, rooms go up and book out. Book early.
