Agadir Airport to Taghazout and Tamraght: Taxi, Bus and Transfer Guide

Agadir Al Massira Airport is the main arrival point for Taghazout and Tamraght. The airport is south-east of Agadir, so every journey to the surf coast first crosses or bypasses the city. A pre-arranged transfer is simplest; the official airport bus is cheaper but requires another connection.

Airport taxi: the direct option

The official airport information lists taxis 24 hours a day outside arrivals. At the time of writing, the posted tariff is 300 MAD to Taghazout or Aourir and 200 MAD to Agadir. Confirm the destination and price before loading your bags, especially if your accommodation is in Tamraght or outside the village centre.

A direct taxi is normally the easiest choice for late arrivals, groups, families and travellers carrying surfboards. Ask your accommodation for the exact map pin because similarly named guesthouses can be difficult to find after dark.

Pre-arranged transfer

A booked driver meets your flight and already knows the destination. It may cost more than assembling a bus-and-taxi journey, but it removes uncertainty and is often good value when split between several people. Confirm whether the price includes surfboards, waiting time and a child seat if needed.

Official AE airport bus

ALSA operates the AE Aerobus between the airport and the Vallée des Oiseaux exchange point in central Agadir. The published journey time is about 50 minutes, with a 50 MAD one-way ticket or 80 MAD return ticket. Tickets are sold onboard or at the airport agency.

The Aerobus does not finish in Taghazout or Tamraght. From central Agadir you still need a coastal bus or taxi. Leave extra time between connections, and check the current ALSA schedule because service times can change.

Which option should you choose?

• Solo and budget-focused: AE bus to Agadir, then a local connection north.
• Two or more travellers: compare the combined bus fares with a direct taxi or transfer.
• Late flight or surfboards: arrange a direct vehicle in advance.
• First visit: send the driver your accommodation pin before take-off.

Before leaving the airport

Withdraw or exchange enough Moroccan dirhams for transport, save your accommodation phone number, and download the area around Agadir and Taghazout for offline use. If your flight is delayed, message the driver before leaving the aircraft when possible.
