Taghazout Surf Expo 2026: what is on at Anchor Point, 22–25 October
The fifth edition runs 22 to 25 October on the esplanade at Anchor Point: 80 exhibitors, two Moroccan surf apps shown for the first time, and concerts on the sand each evening.

The Taghazout Surf Expo is back at Anchor Point from 22 to 25 October 2026, its fifth edition. Four days of stands on the esplanade beside the point, industry sessions during the day, and music on the sand after dark.
The organisers call it the biggest professional surf trade show in Africa and the second biggest anywhere. What they are planning for: 80 exhibitors — brands, shapers, surf schools and camps, tour operators, scientists, nonprofits — in a 4,000 m² pop-up village a few metres from the water, and 40,000 visitors across the four days.
What is new this year
Two applications built in Morocco will be shown for the first time anywhere, both built around AI for surf. Beyond that the organisers are framing this edition around longevity and passing surf on — the board as a meeting point, as they put it. The full programme has not been published yet.
What last year looked like
The fourth edition ran 23 to 26 October 2025 and drew 39,000 visitors, up from 36,000 the year before, with close to 80 exhibitors on the same stretch of sand.
Its centrepiece was a roundtable on surf, the coastline and the blue economy, run with CGEM Souss-Massa, where a memorandum of understanding was signed in front of the wali of Souss-Massa creating a national label — “Commune de Surf” — for surf towns and villages. Delegations from Chile, Australia and Belgium took part in the discussions.
The rest of the programme ran wider than the trade floor. There was a scientific strand on entrepreneurship, governance, sustainability and inclusion, with the Ulysse and Larlanco laboratories. A Share My Experience series put Soukaina Iraqui, Tasha Mentasti and Saad Abid in front of an audience. And the Royal Moroccan Surfing Federation ran workshops and masterclasses alongside the first Taghazout Surf Expo Junior Challenge, where two surfers under 18 came away with a year’s sponsorship from partner brands.
Every evening ended with concerts and DJ sets by the water — gnawa, regada, afro, rock fusion, electro.
