"How much should I budget?" is one of the questions we get most. The honest answer is that Taghazout can be very cheap or surprisingly expensive, and the difference is almost entirely where you sleep and where you eat. Below are real prices as they stand in 2026, and three example weeks. We use about 11 dirhams to the euro. Prices move, so treat them as a guide, not a quote.
Everyday prices
Food and drink
- Mint tea or a café noir in a local café: around 8 to 15 dirhams
- Msemen or a sandwich from a stall: 5 to 30 dirhams
- A tagine in a local restaurant: around 35 to 70 dirhams
- A main course in a visitor-facing restaurant: around 90 to 120 dirhams
- A speciality coffee: 25 to 35 dirhams
- A 1.5 litre bottle of water from a shop: 5 to 7 dirhams
Getting around
- Bus to Agadir: under 10 dirhams
- Shared grand taxi to Agadir: a few dozen dirhams a seat
- Taxi from Agadir airport: around 300 dirhams each way for the car
Surf and wellbeing
- Group surf lesson with board and wetsuit: around 300 dirhams
- Board and wetsuit rental: 50 to 100 dirhams a day
- Drop-in yoga class: around 100 to 200 dirhams
- Hammam: from around 200 dirhams in the village, several times that at the resorts
- One-hour massage: from around 250 dirhams
A bed for the night
- Hostel dorm bed: 100 to 120 dirhams

A hostel bed, breakfast and lunch from cafés and street stalls, cooking some dinners, a rented board most days, the bus to get around. Very doable, and very fun.
Comfortable: about 7,000 to 9,000 dirhams (around 650 to 800 euros)
A guesthouse room or an apartment you share, eating out twice a day, five surf lessons or a week of rental, a taxi from the airport and back, a hammam, and a day trip.
The surf camp week: about 450 to 750 euros, plus extras

Where the money goes
- Cash. Carry it. Many cafés, taxis and shops are cash only, and there are only a few cash machines in the villages. See money, cards and tipping.
- The view costs extra. The same tagine is cheaper up on the main road than on a seafront terrace.
- The resorts are a different world. A dinner at the hotels in Taghazout Bay can cost as much as three days in the village.
- High season. Around Christmas, New Year and Easter, rooms go up and book out. Book early.
