About Devils Rock

Devil's Rock is the main learning beach in Tamraght, a sandy beach break named after the rock at its northern end. It is where many surf schools from Tamraght and Taghazout bring beginners, thanks to gentle whitewater, sandy bottom and a long, open beach.

It works on most tides, best around mid tide, and is at its friendliest on small to medium swells. On bigger days the waves get heavier and currents form, so stay close to your instructor or other surfers. There are cafés and surf shops at the top of the beach for board and wetsuit rental.
