About Imsouane
Imsouane is a fishing village about an hour north of Taghazout, famous for one of the longest right-hand waves in Africa. The Bay breaks gently along the harbour wall and can give rides of several hundred metres, which makes it ideal for longboards and for beginners who can already stand up.
It is worth a day trip or a few nights when the swell is too big for the bay at Taghazout. The Bay works best from mid to high tide; on the other side of the village, the Cathedral peak is more powerful and suits more experienced surfers. Expect a crowd in the line-up on good days.
