About KM17

KM17 is an open stretch of beach north of Taghazout, named after the kilometre marker on the coast road. It is a quieter alternative to the busy breaks near the village, with sand-bottom peaks that change with the swell and the shape of the sandbanks.

It works on most tides, which makes it a good back-up when the points need a specific tide. Waves vary a lot from day to day, so take a look from the road before you paddle out. There are few facilities, so bring water and everything you need.
